There are 9 important rivers of India and they are namely The Ganges, Yamuna, Brahmaputra, Mahanadi, Narmada, Godavari, Tapti, Krishna, and Kaveri.

  • Arvari river is a small river in the Indian state of Rajasthan. It just have 90 km of length and it also consider as the smallest river of India
  • The Ganga declared as the National River of India on November 4, 2008 and decided to set up National Ganga River Basin Authority as an empowered planning, implementing and monitoring authority for the Ganga
